Upper Lip Hair Removal For the Ladies
While any veritable Casanova may sport a romantic-looking moustache, it does not add any points to a woman’s sex
appeal. We can’t help but cringe when we see an otherwise lovely lady with a bush of hair on her upper lip. The
Bearded Lady in carnival sideshows come to mind. People may even mistake her for a man in drag. So if you’re a
woman with a little more than her fair share of facial hair, you might have to opt for upper lip hair removal.
The question is this- how to get rid of upper lip hair? While young boys are taught by their fathers to shave
even before they hit puberty as part of a growing-up rite, it is rarely the same case with girls. There are
permanent options like electrolysis but these are also very costly. Luckily, there is more than one solution to
this problem.
Shaving
Naturally, the first hair removal choice that comes to mind is doing as the men do. You may have observed your
father or brother shaving during his early morning ritual and consider yourself an expert by observation. After
all, if it worked for them, why wouldn’t it work for you? Right?
Well, perhaps not. You might have also noticed that while men can maintain the clean-shaven look immediately
after shaving, stubble accumulates in the following days. Shaving is only good if you’re in a rush and need to
prepare for a party or event, but as a long term lip hair removal solution, it is not so well-recommended.
Tweezing
Tweezers are another option for facial hair removal. This method is also
effective for removing those unsightly hairs on the upper lip, and it will not grow back in itchy thick strands or
stubble immediately after. This, however, takes a lot more time than shaving. If you are thinking of a larger area
than your upper lip, say your legs, then it might not be quite a good idea. Not unless you have all the time in the
world on your hands. However, for a tiny area like the upper lip, it just might be feasible.
Here’s one disadvantage- it really stings. If you have low tolerance to pain, tweezing will definitely make you
wince. Fortunately, one becomes accustomed to it after a few repetitions.
Creams
If neither shaving nor tweezing strikes your fancy, a third alternative is using a depilatory cream. A
facial hair cream destroys the binding proteins of your hair. When you
apply it to your upper lip, it turns the hair into mush. Then, you can easily wipe it away with a piece of damp
tissue paper.
The good news, it doesn’t sting. Except for a faint burning sensation for those with sensitive skin, it is
painless. Also it is hassle-free. All you have to do is apply it on the problem area and it does the work for you.
You just have to sit back for a few minutes and the hair will disappear. Lip hair removal creams also don’t leave
stubble or red bumps, plus you will be hair-free for quite some time before you have to repeat the procedure.
Upper lip hair removal does not have to be a problem. As long as you choose the right method for getting rid of
it, and stick to it, you will be feeling more feminine and attractive in no time.
